The Long Service Award (cloth patch – knot) is awarded to Uniform Adults in Scouting who have given valuable service to Maldivian Scouting. The period of service can be counted as consecutive or cumulative. The Award is allocated at 5 years interval: (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 years.) The colour of the knot should be white on a pale green back ground, with the service number on top of the knot in gold colour.
A certificate is issued with the award recognizing the service period.
In the initial stages until the management of leader records is complete, leaders may apply, subject to verification, for the number of years’ service concluded.
Nominations for this award can be made by any adult leader and approved by the respective Group’s Group Scout Leader. This should be approved by the Awards Committee and endorsed by the Executive Committee/Scout Council.
