Cub Scouting is where the adventure begins. Pack life introduces young kids aged 8 – 12 years to the largest youth educational movement in the world. In their Sixes, they explore different developmental activities with plentiful learning opportunities at a young age, through Pack outings and Pack holidays they experience the outdoors and learn creativity and skills.

Cub Scouting originally began in 1916 and was founded by Baden Powell. In some countries they are called ‘WOLF CUBS’ and in other countries, they are referred simply as ‘CUBS’. In the Maldives, Cub Scouting began in May 1961, at Majeediyya School, Male’ under the leadership of Principal Mr J.V.Hill and Mrs P. George with 18 Cubs.

The motto of the section is ‘DO YOUR BEST’. Cub Scouts are organized in ‘Packs’, which are then again divided into ‘Sixes’. Adult Leaders involved in Cub Scouting take the name of ‘The Jungle Book’ character ‘Akela’.
