About Us

The Scout Association of Maldives is a registered NGO at the Ministry of Home Affairs, with its direction and control vested in the National Scout Council elected by the National Scout Assembly.

The Association was initially registered as Maldives Boy Scout Association (MBSA) in 1984. It was renamed as The Scout Association of Maldives in 1992, giving equal opportunity for both Male and Female. The Association was the outcome of the movement that started at Majeediyya School on 30th May 1956.

Maldives became a member of world scout movement on 23rd July 1990; this historical moment was represented by Mr. Ahmed Imad Mohamed and Mr. Ismail Shafeeq.
